Anchor Trust is the largest not-for-profit provider of housing, care and support for older people in
England. Their Integrated Care and Housing division is a semi-autonomous business that provides
retirement housing with on-site care, delivered through dedicated local managers. They have a
significant growth agenda, including;
> the turn-key £62m Denham Garden Village project - 326 properties and village centre
> numerous sheltered housing schemes, major PFI contract, various new build initiatives
> identification and development of second retirement village
Quality is all... quality housing, care and support service. They seek a qualified property/construction
professional, probably CIB or RIC qualified to manage major turn-key building projects like
Denham Garden Village to time, cost and quality (establishing on-site FM capability in the process), to
prospect/support acquisition of new site (procuring conversion projects as well as new build),
to establish a quality assessment regime for proactive maintenance and defect management and to
become the central liaison link/co-ordination point for all planned works.
You may be in residential house building or commercial construction, but you are constrained by the
hierarchical restrictions and machismo-management and want a different agenda... and maybe benefit
